Medical Education Research and Clinical Research Workshop -- Qualitative Research #2

2015-11-14 (Sat) - 2015-11-15 (Sun)

In this workshop, participants will learn "ethnography" in qualitative study over two days. Ethnography is the method for describing and analyzing qualitative data collected through participant observation and interviews and is receiving increasing attention from people in the healthcare and welfare circle.

Participants will learn the know-how of ethnography by analyzing field notes (records of experience and observation of incidents that happened in certain places) and interview transcripts as data.

You are allowed to bring your data but not required. Data may include medical records, portfolio, and records of observation or behavior (2 to 5 sheets of A4 paper). Needless to say, you must handle these records responsibly and protect the confidentiality of personal information.
