Osaka University Next Generation Public Course - An Invitation to Foreign Language Study over the Internet

The Multimedia Language Education Research Division of the Cybermedia Center will be holding German, English, and Japanese e-learning courses for citizens of Minoh, Ikeda, and Toyonaka city.

Course Overview

These courses feature "dynamic educational materials" through use of the internet, so rather than being conducted in a classroom, these courses will be conducted in an environment in which you can connect to the internet, such as your very own home.

This academic year, we will be offering courses in English, German, and Japanese.

Time and Place

October 31~November 14, 2015

Courses to be Held and Capacity

We will be holding the 4 courses listed below. For more information on each class, please take a look at the content page for each class by following the event URL below. (link in Japanese)

If the number of applicants exceeds capacity, we will decide on attendees through a lottery.

• English 1: "English Reading" - 30 individuals

• English 2: "English Pronunciation Course" - 30 individuals

• German: "Let's Try German 1" - 30 individuals

• Japanese: "Everyday Japanese for Community Participation" - 15 individuals

Participation Fee

Participation in these courses in free.

Requirements

Individuals who fulfill the following 4 requirements may apply.

• Must be a citizen of Toyonaka, Minoh, or Ikeda city

• As a general rule, must be able to attend the orientation on October 31.

• Must be able to use a computer connected to the internet running Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 (browser must be Internet Explorer or Google Chrome), or Mac OS X 10.7 or later (browser must be Google Chrome).

• Must be able to send and receive e-mail.
