DOJIN Book Selection -- The 3D World Created by Your Mind

2015-4-25 (Sat) 15:00 - 17:00

There are probably many of you who have jumped out of your seat while watching a movie in 3D.
And yet, in everyday life, seeing the world in 3D is just common sense.
It easy to find the height, width, and depth that we perceive in the world that we see as fairly obvious. But, we face quite a few problems when trying to clarify our everyday "sight" and the mechanism in which our brain works to create our stereoscopic sight.
How do we see this three-dimensional world?
And what does it really mean to "see?"
In this lecture, the internationally active expert in visual neuroscience, Dr. FUJITA Ichiro, will talk about what it really means to "see," while explaining some of the mysteries and mechanisms of stereoscopic vision.
