Progress Report on Osaka University Research Administrator (URA) Project (in Tokyo)

2015-3-24 (Tue) 1:20 p.m. - 5:10 p.m.

Recently, universities in Japan have been working on establishing a system for improving research promotion through strengthening research management by making use of research administrators (URA).
Osaka University was selected to participate in the Research Administrator Development Program (improvement of research administration system) sponsored by The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in June 2012.
Following that, the Support Office for Large-Scale Education and Research Projects established a URA team. In order to establish the role of the URA and improve and enhance the research promotion system and its function, Osaka University has proceeded with the URA system project according to a 3-year plan.
At the completion of the three-year plan, Osaka University will hold meetings in Tokyo on March 24 and in Osaka on March 26 in order to share its efforts with those inside OU and out and consider the development of research administration activities in the future and the role that URA should play.
