Osaka University & Osaka Gas: Academic Cooking, Vol. 56 -- "Embryological Report on Chicken Cuisine"

2015-2-27 (Fri) 18:30 - 21:00

Kaitokudo for the 21st Century and Osaka Gas have jointly been holding a series of unique lectures on certain foods followed by the cooking and eating that food. Joining us for "volume" 56 of this series of learning through cooking is Professor NAKANO Tohru of the Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences and the Graduate School of Medicine at Osaka University. This lecture is sure to be interesting, so don't miss it!

Vol. 56 "Embryological Report on Chicken Cuisine"

All of our cells form from just one fertilized egg.

Embryology is the study of that mechanism. For this session of Academic Cooking, there will be an easy-to-understand lecture on "how our bodies came to be," followed by a (probably) full-course meal of some chicken-based soul food. Come and join us!

The ingredients, including chicken liver, heart, gizzards, egg yolk, white chicken meat and skin, have all been embryologically assorted for use in this lecture. We hope it makes you really think about just where the ingredients for each dish came from and how it affects the taste and texture of the dish. It's going to be really good! We hope to see you there!
