Lecturer: SHIMEGI Satoshi, Associate Professor, Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University

In order to increase the quality of one's life, one needs to understand his/her body and mind. However, how well does one know oneself? Recent brain science research has shown us that we don't understand ourselves as well as we think.
If we recognize what we didn't know and understand why this has been the case, we can get a new viewpoint for seeing ourselves, others, and society. Furthermore, by seeing things from such a new viewpoint, we will be able to answer to essential questions about how people understand, connect with each other, and live together.

The content of this seminar will be similar to Assoc. Prof. Shimegi's well-received seminar of February 2011. You are sure to find this lecture of great interest!
