2013 Special Lectures on Movie Subtitle Translation

2013-11-6 (Wed) 2:40 p.m. - 5:40 p.m.

This year once again the popular "Lectures on Movie Subtitle Translation," begun in 2008, are being held on the Minoh campus. Two people active on the front lines of movie subtitles will present lectures, subtitle translator MATSUOKA Yoko and subtitle producer HORI Saburoh. Beginning with fundamental information about translating movies, topics they will cover include movies and translation, movies and subtitles. These topics will be covered not only in an easy-to-understand manner, but it will also be fun to hear what they have to say.

Interest in movie subtitles is increasing more and more. Persons interested in subtitles and the translation of subtitles are, of course, welcome, but also people who just like movies. Please come!
