12th e-Square Integrated Fields Café: "What does a data scientist do?"

2013-10-18 (Fri) 5:30 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.

Data scientists are able to find truths hidden in big data by making use of advanced analytical methods. Referred to as "the Sexiest Job of the 21st century," what is it exactly that a data scientist does?
Our guest speaker SAIGO Akira established a company specializing in data analysis in 2007 after working at a major beverage manufacturer and elsewhere. He now works as a senior data scientist at Recruit Technologies. He will talk about the front line of digital marketing by citing some examples such as Rikunavi, SUUMO, and Jaran of the Recruit Group.

Students and faculty members are cordially invited to attend this seminar.
