Announcing the 2nd Training Sessions for the Reuse of Renovated Instruments and Equipment

2013-10-4 (Fri) - 2013-10-29 (Tue)

The Renovation Center for Instruments of Science Education and Technology is a OU institute that renovates expensive older laboratory equipment, making the equipment available for extended use by repairing and/or upgrading it at the expense of the school that possesses it.

As outlined below, this 2nd series of training classes in the use of different laboratory equipment will be held in order to encourage more people to make use of these valuable research tools.

We look forward to welcoming many to these training sessions.

  • Mass Spectrometer (DART-MS)
  • X-ray powder diffraction and thin-film analysis
  • Scanning electron microscope
  • Field emission scanning electron microscope, Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS)
  • High frequency inductive coupling plasma (ICP) emission spectrometry analyzer
  • 3D modeling system (3D scanner and 3D printer)

Making application for these training sessions

Please go to the website of the Renovation Center of Instruments for Science Education and Technology and make application by filling out the necessary information on the application form available there.

For more information on any or all of the training sessions, please go to the website of the Renovation Center. Please understand that acceptance of applications for the different sessions will be terminated whenever all spaces have been filled. Furthermore, please understand that in the event of a large number of applicants for any of the training sessions, the center may be unable to come up with a solution acceptable to all.
