The 29th YUKAWA Memorial Lectures

The 29h Memorial Lectures in honor of Dr. Hideki YUKAWA, Japan's first Nobel Prize winner, will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2012, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Dr. Yukawa (1907~1981) received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1949 for the meson theory research he conducted during his tenure at Osaka University. Yukawa Hideki memorial lectures have been conducted every year since the 50th anniversary of the publication of his thesis in 1985. Cutting-edge physics will be introduced to high school students and general citizens.

Venue: SAJI Keizo Memorial Hall, 10th floor, Nakanoshima Center, Osaka University, 4-3-53 Nakanoshima, Kita-ku, Osaka, Tel: 06-6444-2100

Intended for: high school students and older, general citizens

Seating space at the venue:190

Note: If all seats are taken or lectures have already started, visitors will be led to Room #702 which will be available for viewing the lectures by closed circuit TV.

There is no charge for attending these lectures.
