Interdisciplinary Education Symposium: "Advanced Education for achieving a Sustainable Global Society"

2012-12-6 (Thu) 1:00 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.

The Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Education is holding a symposium regarding graduate school education, "Advanced Education for achieving a Sustainable Global Society," on Thursday, December 6.
Faculty members of universities offering interdisciplinary graduate school education hope to hold vigorous and meaningful discussion regarding graduate school education with graduate school students and working people.

As shown in a variety of education programs such as "Interdisciplinary Education" at The University of Tokyo, "Human Quality Enhancement Education" at the University of Tsukuba, and

"Cultivation of an Interdisciplinary Viewpoint" and "Graduate Minor Programs" at Osaka University,

universities are promoting interdisciplinary reform of graduate school education in various ways.

In this symposium, persons in charge of graduate school education reform will introduce the approaches at their schools. Following their introductions, the symposium will consider the future direction of graduate education, encouraging debate among faculty members, graduate school students, and working people. Students, faculty members, and general citizens interested in graduate school education are cordially invited to attend.
