4th Science Café in front of the Zoo
2012-12-15 (Sat) 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The 4th "Science Café in front of the Zoo" is being held on December 15, 2012.
Title of Speech: "I want to know more about Squids and Octopuses!"
The speaker for this science café is Associate Professor Hidetaka FURUYA.
Both "ika-yaki" and "tako-yaki" are part of Osaka's "food culture" or foods originally unique to Osaka. In addition, Osaka people feel some familiarity with these two sea animals, but actually, what do you know about how octopuses and squid live in the sea? Moreover, their bodies are constructed differently from other animals....
If you're at all interested in the evolution of squid and octopuses and their place in the ecosystem, please come to this science café.
