Open Public Forum by Osaka University Hospital: "Early Detection & Preventing Cancer"

Since 2009, in order to improve cancer treatment, Osaka University Hospital has been designated as a Regional Hospital for Cancer Diagnosis & Treatment by Osaka Prefecture. Moreover, since 2006, Osaka University Hospital has been conducting an "Open Public Forum" annually for members of the general public on a variety of cancer prevention and treatment themes. This year's theme is "Early Detection & Preventing Cancer."

Topics of this year's lectures:

  1. "Early Detection and Cancer Treatment: focus on lung cancer" -- NAKAYAMA Tomio, Chief, Epidemiology Prevention Section, Dept. of Cancer Control and Statistics, Osaka Medical Center for Cancer and Cardiovascular Diseases
  2. "Cervical Cancer Examination and the HPV vaccine" -- FUJITA Masami, Lecturer, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Surgery, Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University
  3. "What I have learned by studying the Cancer Registry for Japan about Cancer Prevention in Japan" -- SOBUE Tomotaka, Professor, Department of Social and Environmental Medicine, Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University
