Sustainability Café 2012 -- "Communities and Environmental Sustainability -- the experience of Senri and Sasayama"

What is sustainability? How can we achieve it? As an activity to promote sustainability, the On-site Research Center for Sustainability Design of the Graduate School of Engineering is holding this Sustainability Café 2012 on Monday, March 26.

There is no charge for attending this cafe. Please feel free to drop by and enjoy the café on your way home from work.

Topic of this café:

While old and new residents in Senri New Town are working on house renovation and city development to prevent their town from becoming an "old town," in Tamba, school districts are being remapped in an effort to halt population loss. These activities are said to be seen only in Japan. This Sustainability Café 2012 will take up the topics of the "new public sphere" and "villages" with reference to the examples of Senri and Sasayama.
