FabLab Japan lecture -- "It's become an era in which it's important for anyone to be able to make things"

2012-2-3 (Fri) - 2012-2-9 (Thu)

The 2nd Venture Business Laboratory (VBL) Integrated Fields Café is being held as noted below. The guest lecturer is Associate Professor at Keio University, TANAKA Hiroya, the founder of FabLab Japan and the person behind last year's FabLab Kamakura.

FabLab is a concept begun at a laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a concept in which members in community make for themselves the things that they themselves want. This idea is now spreading throughout the world and attracting a lot of attention as an experimental workshop. Experience at MIT and activities at FabLab have demonstrated that "Now is the time for you to once again start making things for yourself," is the direction and vision we should aim for.

Students and faculty are welcome to attend this lecture. There is no charge for attending, but registration is required. For more information, interview information, and registration, visit the home page noted below. Space is available for 30 on a first-come, first-served basis.
