"4th Osaka University Training Session in the Reuse of Equipment and Machinery" is being held

Under the joint sponsorship of the Renovation Center of Instruments for Science Education and Technology and of the Comprehensive Analysis Center (of The Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research), the "We can't dispose of that!" Project has scheduled a series of training sessions that will deal with the reuse of certain items in the wide variety of equipment and machinery registered with RCI.


Training Sessions:

  • Instrument #1 -- EPMA (Electron Probe Micro Analyzer) -- Thursday, November 17 & Monday, November 28 -- 10:00 a.m. ~ 4:30 p.m. -- Instructor: TANAKA Takanori, The Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research
  • Instrument #2 -- Field emission scanning electron microscope, EDS -- Monday, November 21 & Tuesday, November 22 -- 10:00 a.m. ~ 4:00 p.m. -- Instructor: TAMEIKE Akane, JEOL

  • There is no charge for taking part in these training sessions. However, registration is required. To register, go to http://www.reno.osaka-u.ac.jp/seminar/. Please fill out all the required information on the registration page. You will be notified regarding the status of your application.
  • Training sessions are limited to a maximum of 8 participants. Apply early. (Upon registration of an 8th applicant, registration for that training session is terminated.)
