Learn basic Serbian in the 2011 Language Training Course -- Enroll now!

The Research Institute for World Languages offers programs in languages found in important geopolitical areas of ethnic conflict. Are you interested in southeastern Europe, or considering conducting fieldwork research in Serbia? If so, then enroll in the 2011 Language Training Course offered by Osaka University's Research Institute for World Languages. Learn to speak basic Serbian, phrases for daily life, in this short-term intensive language training class.

Applications for this course are now being accepted and interested students are encouraged to apply today following the instructions outlined below.

Instructors:

  • Milan Ajdžanović (Serbian & Linguistics Assistant Instructor, Philosophy Department, University of Novi Sad)
  • MOMOSE Ryoji (Specially Appointed Assistant Professor, Research Institute for World Languages)

Dates: Thursday, August 4 ~ Thursday, August 25 (total of 15 class days, not including Saturdays and Sundays)

Time: 10:00 a.m. ~ 3:00 p.m.

Total Hours: 75

Tuition: Free -- there is no charge for taking this course.

Quota: Approximately 10.

Notes:

  • Persons who enroll in this course, but who live far away, are responsible for arranging their own lodgings.
  • A Certificate of Completion will be supplied to students upon completion of the course.

One final note: Applicants will be notified regarding the status of their application by Friday, July 15. In a typical year, many persons apply for these intensive courses. Because space is limited, we unfortunately are not able to accept all applicants.
