Androids make their first appearance at a "Mansion" in Karahori, Osaka

Androids are here now in our world! This is your chance to meet a few of them in a 100-year-old tenement house in Karahori, Osaka. When and where? Wednesday, July 13 through Saturday, July 16, near the Tanimachi 6-chome Station.
However, advance reservation is required if you'd like to participate. Each program is limited to one hour. There is no fee for taking part in this event, but participants will be requested to pay ¥500 for some refreshment before entering the house.
How to apply: Please reserve your spot by entering your name, email address, and the time you want to visit the house on an application form available here.
Please note the following:

  • After making application, you will receive email confirmation regarding your application.
  • Please note that the number of applicants may exceed capacity for some of the time slots.
  • If you do not come at your appointed time or do not have a reservation, you will not be able to enter.
  • Space is limited. If the number of applicants exceeds the capacity of the venue for any of the time frames, unsuccessful applicants will be informed of this by email.
  • Please note that the media may cover this event on Saturday, July 16.
  • Please note that images may be recorded for broadcast, for experiments and that recorded images may be used for video making, research presentations, and/or handouts for the media.
  • Last but not least, you are kindly requested to behave in a polite manner with the androids.
