2011 Machikanete Ohako Festival

2011-7-10 (Sun) 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

The 2011 Machikanete Ohako Festival will be held at Osaka University Hall on Sunday, July 10.

This year's Machikanete Ohako Festival will be the fourth time this event, promoting exchange and friendship between local communities and Osaka University, has been held. This year, as a means of celebrating and making the renovation of Osaka University Hall (the former E-go Kan) more widely known, many enjoyable festival events have been planned for local community members. Please come!

Festival events are:

  • Make a Map -- Create a big 3D map of the Toyonaka Campus and its surrounding area.
  • Excitement of "Do It Yourself" -- Create toys using balloons.
  • Photo Rally -- Orienteering in the Osaka University Hall using photos.
  • Theater Workshop -- A dramatic acting workshop that anyone can enjoy.
  • Chit Chat Café -- Enjoy light refreshments and conversation.
  • Ishibashi Specialty Contest -- Help select a new "local specialty" for the Ishibashi Shopping Arcade.
  • Ohako Festival Art Exhibition -- Display art work from local high schools.
  • Casual Concert -- A lively concert will be held featuring a recently-purchased piano. Join in the singing of Ohako Ichi no Uta at the end.

There is no participation fee and no registration is needed. Everyone is welcome!

Also note: regardless of the weather, ALL the above events will be held so please come!
