"Learning from Field Study -- Reports from those who participated" a report seminar by GLOCOL's Fieldwork, Internship, and Experiential Learning Design Office (FIELDO)

2011-4-27 (Wed) 6:40 p.m. - 8:10 p.m.

In 2010, GLOCOL has established the Fieldwork, Internship and Experience Learning Design Office (FielDO) to support fieldwork and overseas internships. From April 2011, a completely new course "Overseas Field Study" has been established. In this course, small groups of students will participate in practical overseas study, taking the main responsibility for their learning. This year, between January and March, three groups participated in a test FIELDO program in Palao, Thailand, and the USA.

While GLOCOL is promoting its Field Study course, the question becomes what exactly is it that students who participate in this program learn. In this seminar, not only students who are interested in participating in overseas field studies, but also faculty members and even members of the public are invited to come and listen to the reports. By listening to what the students who participated in the test program have to say and their hopes for the program, the goal of this seminar is to develop this program into an even more effective field study program. Come, listen to the students, and share your ideas!

Registration is not necessary. If you're interested, please come!

Please note: The content of this seminar is relevant to both of the courses "Overseas Field Study" and "Overseas Internships."
