Symposium on International Ship Safety and Maritime Environment Research Initiative

2011-2-28 (Mon) 1:00 p.m. - 5:05 p.m.

International Ship Safety and Maritime Environment Research Initiative, a cross-major field of research based at the Graduate School of Engineering, was set up in 2006. It became a research counterpart of the "International Maritime Policy Program" of the Graduate School Education begun in the same year and is being conducted with cooperation from the Maritime Bureau of the Ministry of National Land and Transportation. In order to contribute to ship safety and maritime environment policies, this research promotes coordinated research in various fields as well as in ship engineering.

In order review the steps leading up to the initiative and further research, a symposium will be held on Monday, February 28 to facilitate the exchange of opinions with related organizations and share research results.

The organizers look forward to seeing many persons in attendance at this symposium.
