Asia as Method -- Deimperialization and Diaspora

The Global Collaboration Center (GLOCOL) will hold a seminar, "Asia as Method -- Deimperialization and Diaspora" on Saturday, February 5 and Sunday, February 6. We have invited Prof. Kuan-Hsing Chen as a speaker. He is a well-known scholar, theorist and activist for deimperialization and is well-known for his "Asian" cultural studies. He will give a special lecture on these topics with an introduction of his newly published book Asia as Method. Persons interested in this topic are cordially welcome.

Date & Time: Saturday, February 5, 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, February 6, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Venue: Seminar Room #2, 2nd floor, Student Commons, Education and Research Building I, Institute for Higher Education Research and Practice

Registration: Prior registration by email is requested of all who plan to attend.

The seminar will be conducted in English. Unfortunately, Japanese translation will not be available.
