Sustainabilty Design Extension, #8

As an activity to promote sustainability, Osaka University will hold a ten-part series of extension seminars regarding sustainability on Wednesdays beginning from November 11, 2010. Individuals who take seven or more classes will receive a certificate of completion from Osaka University President WASHIDA Kiyokazu.

Individuals interested in participating in this seminar are cordially invited to make application to do so.


Building Sustainable, Safe, Comfortable Cities

As urban infrastructure ages, the maintenance and management of such artificial structures become a major challenge if a society is to create sustainable cities. In this seminar, the lecturers will deal with basic ideas and concrete measures to rationally maintain and manage, according to plan, urban infrastructure.
