Project for Inspiring Advanced Research: Exciting Seminar #8 -- Biopolitics, now and tomorrow

As part of Osaka University's Project for Inspiring Advanced Research, a symposium will be held on Wednesday, December 22. The guest speakers are KANAMORI Osamu of The University of Tokyo and KOMATSU Yoshihiko of Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology.

This symposium will examine the impact on society brought about by the biosicences.

The symposium consists of two parts. In Part 1, biopolitics will be viewed from a philosophical viewpoint. Part 2 will present an analysis of real social problems and their relation to biopolitics.

Registration for this symposium is not required. The organizers look forward to seeing many persons in attendance.
