GCOE Seminar: Regulation of memory CD8+ T cell migration to the lung airways

2010-12-20 (Mon) 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 p.m.

Lecture title: Regulation of memory CD8+ T cell migration to the lung airways

Lecturer: TAKASHIMA Shiki, Immunology Laboratory, Faculty of Medicine, Kinki University

Overview: After removing respiratory infection virus such as influenza, large amount of antigen-specific CD8 T cells are kept in the pulmonary membrane and play an important role in protective immunity against reinfection. However, how the migration and maintenance of memory CD8T cells to the pulmonary membrane are controlled has not been clarified.

In this seminar, a new knowledge about specific nature of this control mechanism and respiratory membrane immune response will be introduced.
