Negotiating Choices for the Education of Japanese-Filipino Children in Japan: The Perspective of Filipino Housewives

The Global Collaboration Center (GLOCOL) will hold a lecture, "Negotiating Choices for the Education of Japanese-Filipino Children in Japan: The Perspective of Filipino Housewives" on Tuesday, December 12.

In this lecture, the speaker, Ivie Carbon Esteban, Senior Lecturer, UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, will speak about Japanese-Filipino couples and the education of their children in Japan. Specifically, she will talk about how Filipino wives negotiate with their husbands who are frequently in a  position of dominance about their children's education.


Admission is free. Registration is not required.

This seminar will be in English. Unfortunately the organizers are not able to provide translation services.
