Products made in Japan are used throughout the world. While it is science and technology that have made these products, it is the power to create, the power to make something new that stands behind these products. Osaka University's Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research wants to provide opportunities for up-and-coming elementary and middle school students to discover the joy and satisfaction of making something with your own hands.

Nano-tech items can be found all around us in our daily lives --things such as cellphones and LCD televisions. In Osaka University's Integrated Function Nano Foundry, elementary and middle school students of the next generation will experience some of the fascination of nano-technology.
