Social "Good Practice" Program for nurturing Leadership in First-Year Students

Osaka University has implemented an interactive program selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) as a "Student Support Program in response to Social Needs".
This program aims to nurture future leaders who will possess, thanks to their liberal education at Osaka University, the "Handai* Style," leadership characterized by enlightenment, empowered imagination, and international mindedness.

As part of this program a training camp for first-year students will be held from Tuesday, August 17 to Friday, August 20, 2010.

* "Handai" is the Japanese nickname for Osaka University.
