Advanced Facilities Initiative -- Osaka University & Tokyo University of Science joint symposium

2010-1-28 (Thu) 1:00 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.

The free electron lasers (FELs) owned by the Institute of Laser Engineering of Osaka University and those of the IR FEL Research Center of Tokyo University of Science have different wavelength capabilities. However, the characteristics of FEL light sources in terms of brightness and intensity are different from those of the orbit radiation light that has been widely used as an advanced light source and have potential in research and applications in industry.

Using the term "advanced laser light source," this symposium aims (1) to look at characteristics of the above facilities and their potential in research and applications in industry, (2) to deepen the understanding of their actual applications in industry and the challenges and expectation for such in the future, and, finally, (3) to promote university-industry cooperation beyond the limitations of technological fields and organizations.

Intended for: Companies, university-industry cooperation promoters, and individuals associated with universities and research institutes

Partition fee: There is NO fee for attending this event.

How to apply: Send by email (1) your name, (2) the name of your organization or company, and (3) your telephone number and email address to the following address: ( Office for Promoting University-Industry Cooperation, Institute of Laser Engineering, Osaka University
