"Super Tokku" Forum in Osaka

Four projects headed by research institutions in Osaka were selected for the government-sponsored Medical Innovation Initiative established last year. Known as "Super Tokku," research proceeds apace in this new initiative.

On Friday,January 152010, researchers involved in "Super Tokku" will gather for a symposium. In this symposium, they will stress the importance of bio- and life sciences and deliver reports on the current situation and future outlook for research and the development of advanced medicines and medical equipment.

If you're interested in researchers efforts in advanced research, this is one seminar you won't want to miss!


Lecture: "Probelms and Future Outlook for Life Sciences in Japan" by  HONJO Tasuku, Specially appointed professor at Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University

Reports of research results

(1) Application of iPS cells to toxic assessment

(2) Development of advanced therapeutic apparatuses and application in clinical practices of such and cross-sectional and integrated research

(3) Development of vaccines for next generation infections

(4) Development of innovative biotechnology-based drugs

Partition fee: There is NO fee for attending this event.

After-forum party fee: ¥2000 will be collected from those who attend.
