Classes on Making Things--Nanotech Science Class

A joint production of the Technical Office of the Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research and the Handai Multi-Functional Nanofoundry

All sorts of things produced in Japan are used all over the world.

These products are products of science and technology, but they are also supported by reliable shop-floor skills.

The Technical Office, Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research at Osaka University has planned to introduce elementary and junior high school students, students forging the future of Japan, to experience the pleasure of making something by hand.

Nanotech Science Class, The Handai Multi-Functional Nanofoundry Nanotechnology is used in so many things these days.

Experience the pleasure of nanotechnology in your summer holidays!

Programs

Electronic circuit
Assemble an electronic circuit using solder.
Quota: 10 students per day

Nanotech science class 1:
Make an original tag using nanotech processing technology
Quota: 6 students per day

Nanotech science class 2:
Make a tool to view colors of light.
Quota: 10 students per day

Intended for: 4th graders through 3rd year students of junior high school
Participation fee: There is no charge for the classes, but an accident insurance premium will be necessary for participants. The amount of the premium will be announced soon.
Applications are accepted only by email.

Please send (1) course, (2) date of your choice, (3) postal code and address, (4) your name (with "furigana"), (5) your phone number, (6) your school name and grade by email to: monodukuri@sanken.osaka-u.ac.jp.
Applicants will receive an email reply within 2 days. (If you don't receive a return mail within two days, please contact us.)
