Open Lecture: Designing Landscapes

HANAMURA Chikahiro, a specially-appointed professor at the Center for the Study of Communication-Design (OSCD) and landscape designer, will give a lecture on approaches to people and communication design, thematically related to "Landscapes connecting the Environment and People".
He will talk about changes in the way people view landscape due to changes in the design of the environment, in areas such as architecture, products, and his own art work.

This lecture is part of OSCD series, "ABC of Community Communication Design Coordination." It is open to the public. Additionally, there is no charge for attending the lecture and preregistration is not needed. Individuals interested are cordially invited to attend to the lecture.
Mr. Hanamura has been involved in planning and promotion of Data Handai Project, and designing of Orange Shop, Toyonaka Campus OSCD, and Kaitokudo for the 21st Century Gallery as staff of OSCD, while conducting activities as a landscape designer.
In this lecture he will talk about his underlying philosophy and feelings for landscape, while looking back at his achievements.
