Lecture: A Mysterious Country's NEO--A story about how Money changed a future
In this
seminar, two lecturers will give speeches: SAITO Kenji who recently has
published A Mysterious Country's NEO--A story about how Money changed a future ["Fushiginokunino NEO--Mirai wo Kaeta Okane no Hanashi"] and MORINO Eiichi, a representative of Gesell Research Society Japan studying Silvio Gesell's monetary theory.
Richard Buckminster Fuller, a thinker whose contributions promoted the concept of Spaceship Earth,
said "We cannot change things by fighting with the existing
reality. In order to change something, we must establish a new model
that makes an existing model obsolete."
About ten years ago, encouraged by a similar spirit, MORINO Eiichi started the WAT system, an autonomous monetary system of distribution.
Thus, a money management system for building a network of confidence was established as a new model in the face of the economically and environmentally deadlocked existing reality.
Following up on Morino's achievement, this year, SAITO Kenji wrote a science fiction book about a future in which the WAT system and its computerized system, i-WAT, is fully used.
The story offers a
glimpse of a future in which the world has returned to sanity. The story is also a message to us from children of the future.
In
these troubled times, we hope to share a glimpse of a desireable new world
and see how our information society will change with
the "Acchankos" in the book.
