Mock Interview Seminar #1: Interviews are Communication

2016-5-14 (Sat) 9:00 -

As a part of Job Search/Career Guidance for 2016-2017, we will be holding Mock Interview Seminar #1: Interviews are Communication.

Content of the seminar

What type of interviewers do you handle well? How about those that are more difficult for you? Persons from human resources will conduct mock interviews, so why not come and give your communication skills a try?

Here are some types of interviews that an organization can arrange.

A. Exploration interviews: This type of interview is designed to find an interviewee's character by asking 'why' repeatedly.

B. Interviews full of single questions: In this type of interview, an interviewer doesn't deeply pursue one question but rather asks questions in rapid succession.

C. Friendly interviews: In this type of conversational interview, the interviewer compliments the interviewee by saying "That's great." whenever he/she answers.

D. Informal or conversational interviews: In this type of interview, no self-appeal is asked and the interviewer “goes with the flow” with topics such as the interviewee's job hunting and hobbies.

E. Stress interviews: It is designed to place the interviewee in a stress situation in order to observe how the interviewee reacts.
