Technology Entrepreneurship & Commercialization (TEC) Program [Application Deadline: May 11]

The TEC Program, which was highly regarded by private companies, university-related individuals, and students, is now accepting applications for students for the program's second year.

TEC2016 consists of lectures by venture capitalists and businesspersons, case discussions for basic understanding, and workshop-style training courses.

Through actual exercises that describe the commercialization plan of science and technology being developed at Osaka University, students will discover promising uses for research results for which intended use and probability of market creation are still unknown, and obtain skills that will lead to commercialization and innovation.

• Researchers, engineers, and entrepreneurs who aim to commercialize research results
• Students who wish to work in companies and/or manage high-tech ventures in the future

G-TEC has enjoyed favorable reception in the last 5 years, and as the program approaches its 6th year, TEC2016 has been planned and has offered courses as the Japanese language version of G-TEC since last year.

After raising the percentage of international attendees, G-TEC2016 will be held again this year with the same content as G-TEC2015 according to the schedule below.
• Monday, August 22 ~ Saturday, August 27, 2016 - Technology Assessment Course
• Monday, August 29 ~ Saturday, September 3, 2016 - Venture Assessment Course
Applications for G-TEC2016 will be accepted beginning at the end of May. Applications for G-TEC2016 by participants in TEC2016 will be given priority, so those individuals who would like to raise their skills in commercializing science technology on the global market through collaboration with lecturers from Boston and international participants are encouraged to apply.
