Lectures celebrating the 175th anniversary of Tekijuku -- OGATA Koan, Tekijuku, and Scholarship in Modern Osaka

Every year, Osaka University and the Tekijuku Commemoration Association hold commemorative lectures celebrating the achievements of OGATA Koan and his students. This year, in commemoration of the 175th anniversary of the founding of Tekijuku by Ogata Koan, two specialists will speak about how Western learning blossomed and influenced modern Osaka. This seminar is being held in concert with the Special Exhibition at The Museum of Osaka University -- "Exhibition celebrating the 175th anniversary of Tekijuku -- OGATA Koan, Tekijuku, and Scholarship in Modern Osaka". The organizers look forward to welcoming many to this seminar.
