All Osaka University students are asked to complete their annual physical examination at some point during the dates and times outlined below.

Physical exams may be done at either the Health Care Center on the Toyonaka campus and also at the center on the Suita campus.

Health Care Center, Toyonaka Campus

  • 1:00 p.m. ~ 3:00 p.m.

Health Care Center, Suita Campus

  • Wednesday, April 20 ~ Thursday, April 28 (excluding Saturday and Sunday)

  • 9:00 a.m. ~ 11:00 a.m.
  • 1:00 p.m. ~ 3:00 p.m.

Application forms are available at the Reception Desk in the tent in front of the Health Care Center.

The physical exam consists of: (1) completion of a pertinent questionnaire, (2) processing of application, (3) urinalysis, (4) chest X-ray, (5) height & weight, (6) blood pressure, (7) brief interview, (8) eyesight exam.

Please bring the following 3 items with you to your physical examination:

  1. Student ID card
  2. Your urinalysis dip stick (called a "pee pole" in Japanese). A urinalysis dip stick is attached to the application form. Preferably, you should do two things before coming for your physical exam: complete the form and use the dip stick to take a reading of your urine first thing on the morning of your physical exam. (Pee poles and application forms are available at your school.)
  3. Your completed application form. Please be careful not to fold or crease the application form. (Physical exam will proceed more smoothly if you bring a completed form.)

For additional information, please go to the Health Care Center home pages.

Note: Both Health Care Centers will be crowded on the final day. To expedite your physical exam, do NOT wait until the final day to get it done!
