2010-4-12 (Mon) 2:00 p.m. -

In April 2010, Osaka University established the Osaka University Intellectual Property Center (IPrism). Among other things, the purpose of this center is to promote education regarding intellectual property for all persons at the university and, also, to promote the development of persons making strategic use of intellectual property, and, in this way, nurture the birth of a "Intellectual Property-Oriented Nation." Moreover, IPrism aims, with the establishment of a general intellectual property system for education and research, to enhance cooperation between researchers both in/out of the university and business persons, thereby contributing to society.
