Method for making tuition payments

  • Tuition is paid in two equal installments. The first installment is due in May; the second installment is due in November.
  • Tuition fees are automatically withdrawn from your account at a member bank of the Japanese Bankers Association or JP Bank that you registered online via the Tuition Payment Account Registration System.
  • Tuition fee for the first semester: May 27
Tuition fee for the second semester: November 27
  • The automatic withdrawal date for tuition fee payments for the first semester has been delayed until Monday, July 27, 2020 because of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. "Notice of Tuition Fees" postcard (account transfer notice/payment request form) will be sent in late June.
  • If the payment due date falls on a non-business day, your payment will be processed on the next business day.
  • Make sure you have enough money in your account to cover the amount due.
  • No processing fees will be assessed for this automatic deduction.
Note: Those undergraduate students who will enter graduate school and those students in a master's program who will enter a doctoral program who have registered a bank account for tuition payments via the request form for bank account transfer will have their tuition fees automatically deducted from their registered account, so it is not necessary to register a new account via the Tuition Payment Account Registration System.
The Tuition Payment Account Registration System can be found here. Registrations are no longer being accepted. Information about the registration period for those who enroll in October and how to change debit account number will be posted on this page at a later date.
  • Students who missed the deadline for their tuition payments, auditing students, special auditors, and research students are required to pay via bank transfer. Please transfer the tuition fee at a bank using the request form for tuition payment sent by the university.
  • The deadline for tuition fee payments has been delayed until Friday, July 31, 2020 because of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. "Notice of Tuition Fees" postcard (account transfer notice/payment request form) will be sent in late June. However, those who do not take semester-long courses must make their tuition payments by the deadline listed on their request form for bank account transfer.
  • If/When tuition fees are revised, outstanding fees must be paid at the revised rate.
