Increasing the number of Osaka University students participating in overseas exchange programs is a priority.

Number of Osaka University students participating in overseas exchange programs

1,325 Osaka University students participated in overseas exchange programs in 2013. About half of those were graduate school students, and about half were undergraduate students. Although the number of students participating in overseas programs is gradually increasing, with most opting for academic exchange programs, numbers remain somewhat low compared to the number of international students attending Osaka University. In addition to offering a variety of support programs for international students, the University is currently reviewing its educational programs in order to put in place an environment that is conducive to Osaka University students’ participation in overseas exchange programs.
