Funding Program for World-Leading Innovative R&D on Science and Technology (FIRST Program)
The FIRST Program aims to advance the kind of leading-edge research and development that will strengthen Japan’s international competitiveness while contributing to society and people’s welfare through the application of its results.
The Japanese government selected 30 research projects in FY 2009, of which two were from Osaka University.
