Establishing the Joint Research Course

The Joint Research Course is designed to enhance the achievement of outstanding research results through its support of joint research by university faculty and researchers from the business world. Through the structure provided by this course, an independent research organization can be set up within a school or facility and Osaka University and the company financing the research are able to conduct the research flexibly and quickly. This system, thereby, aims to achieve different results from those that conventional joint research and endowed courses can offer.

Thanks to the Joint Research Course, research can be conducted in the liberal arts, social and natural sciences, and interdisciplinary fields. Any graduate school, research facility, and even the Hospital of Osaka University are eligible to set up this kind of course.
