14th Visit-Japan Program for Chinese Students

On Tuesday, May 27, the 14th Visit-Japan Program for Chinese Students, also referred to as "Visit Japanese Enterprises and Feel Japan," was held at the Convention Center on the Suita campus. 35 students from 6 universities in China and 37 OU students attended. The Japanese Chamber Commerce and Industry in China sponsored this visit for the purpose of promoting mutual understanding and Japan and China's future friendship.
The program started with greetings from OKAMURA Yasuyuki, Trustee & Vice President, and the showing of a video introducing Osaka University. Later, the students visited the Institute of Laser Engineering to see large-scale apparatuses for experiments.

Following the tour, a workshop was held on the theme of university life. Chinese and Japanese students had lively discussions in mixed groups and later presented their results. At the end of the presentations, Li Chunsheng, Head, Education Office, Consulate General in Osaka, People's Republic of China, made comments. Following this, the students fostered friendship in a party at cafeteria Takumi.
