Osaka University Nakanoshima-sai 2017 [TSUMUGU]

2017-11-19 (Sun) 10:00 - 16:00

Each autumn, the students at the Faculty of Medicine at OU hold the Faculty of Medicine's Nakanoshima-sai, but this year, the hard work taking place every day at the Faculty of Medicine will be on display in an exhibition at the 1F Media Lounge in CoMIT.

There is always a large number of individuals in attendance from the area each year, but this year's content is looking to be better than ever.

Faculty of Medicine Special Exhibition Event

Experience the VR Flight Doctor
What kind of work does a flight doctor do?! Experience the world of OU Critical Care in VR!

Using a headmount display, participants can look around in full 360°from the flight doctor's point of view.
Visitors can also take a look into the inside of a Doctor Heli and learn more about advanced research taking place in the Traumatology and Acute Critical Medicine.

Take a look at your own cells!
Epithelial cells will be collected from the mucous membrane inside visitors' mouths, after which a pap stain will be applied to the cells, a method used in rapid cell examination. Visitors can then view these cells under an optical microscope.

How is surgery performed?
Visitors can experience a surgical atmosphere using a laproscopic training machine.
