Twins Festival 2014 -- Sunday, Nov. 2, Convention Center

2014-11-2 (Sun) 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Osaka University's Center for Twin Research was the first research center in Japan to conduct specialized research on twins as it relates to preventive medicine. Last year, from children through to adults, 70 pairs of twins, a total of 200 twins from all over Japan gathered at the Twins Festival 2013.

This year Professor Jaakko Kaprio from the University of Helsinki will speak on the theme of "Developments and Trends in the World on Twin Research." This year the festival will include things such as a "Science Café" where you can talk with researchers about twins in a relaxed atmosphere and opportunities for parents raising twins to talk together. In addition, there will also be a corner where simple health checks such as of bone density can be had as well as a chance for all the twins to connect with one another across generations.
