Interdisciplinary Education Salon Fusion #3 -- "The OU Doctoral Students' route!"

2014-10-7 (Tue) 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

When advancing to a doctoral program, you are sure to question your options and concern yourself about the following:

  • Conducting research has become more fun. It's time to advance to a doctoral program. Hey, wait a second! Once one advances to the doctoral program, what will change?
  • How will I finance school fees and living expenses?
  • Although my university classmates entered the workforce 5 years ago, I'm still a student. Can I continue in this situation?
  • After getting my doctor's degree, how will I obtain a position as researcher?
  • I thought I knew how students in doctoral programs lived while doing research, but actually I don't know anything.

Students in doctoral programs have difficulties in research and job hunting, but they survive through trial and error. In this salon on Tuesday, October 7, OU students from different backgrounds will talk about how they developed their careers, learning from their own experiences. If you want to get some wisdom and innovative ideas in conducting research in a doctoral program, want to talk about studying at graduate school with other graduate students, or want to know what students in doctoral programs are doing, how about participating in this Interdisciplinary Education Salon? Let's consider OU style career development together.
