FD Seminar -- "TOEIC® SW and University English Education

2014-5-29 (Thu) 12:10 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

In this faculty development seminar, we'll deepen our understanding of the TOEIC® SW -- the TOEIC speaking and writing test and consider the use of English education at the university.

The TOEIC® SW is an indispensable part of communication in the international environment. Measuring speaking and writing abilities, it is a new style of certification test. Supplementing the existing TOEIC test, in recent years the number of people taking it has increased.

In this FD, we've invited MURATA Takehiro of IIBC, the implementation "mother" of the TOEIC® SW, who will explain about the special characteristics of the speaking-writing portion, their implementation and effectiveness, and consider how to make use of it in university English education.
