Osaka University's Osaka School of International Public Policy (OSIPP), an institute devoted to the examination of a wide variety of public policies from an international viewpoint as well as education and personnel training in the design, formation, enactment, and assessment of such policies, celebrates the 20th anniversary of its founding in June 2014. In honor of this milestone, OSIPP has designated the current period through March 2015 as the "20th Anniversary Year," and has planned a series of commemorative activities.

This lecture, the 4th commemorative activity in the series, features a lecture from David M. Malone, a Canadian author regarding international security and development, diplomat, and, currently, the UN Under-Secretary General, Rector of the United Nations University in Tokyo.

Join us in Thinking about the Reality of Diplomacy by the United Nations!

Lecture Title: "The UN Security Council — A critical Forum or a Waste of Time?"

The lecture will be presented in English.

Notes: This is the 64th policy forum held by OSIPP since its founding.
Especially note this lecture is a truly outstanding chance to hear some serious thought about international policies. Don't miss this chance!
