It is said that in Japanese the number of adjectives is less than that of nouns or verbs. In order to make up that deficit, a lot of quasi-adjectives have been created. What role do adjectives and quasi-adjectives play in Japanese language? How has Japanese coped with the deficit? This class will take a look at adjectives and quasi-adjectives in terms of the meaning and characteristics of the meanings of adjectives and quasi-adjectives by comparing them with verbs that express action and change.

To make application, go to the Asahi Culture Center website.
