The 17th SANKEN International Symposium 2014

2014-1-21 (Tue) - 2014-1-22 (Wed)

This symposium is joined with The 2nd International Symposium of Nano-Macro Materials, Devices, and System Research Alliance Project

SCOPE:

The Symposium will be centered on elucidating the behavior of substances ranging from molecules to organisms. Our aim is to facilitate the discussion on recent scientific topics and the exchange of new ideas between in an "interdisciplinary" approach. With these keywords in mind, we would like to implement interdisciplinary discussions under a unified theme during this Symposium. We hope that this Symposium will be helpful in merging recent concepts in different scientific fields to promote the creation of new research areas and technologies. For these reasons your participation is indispensable for the success of the Symposium.

The international workshop on new science and technologies using entangled photons (NSTEP) will be held at I.S.I.R at Suita Campus, Osaka University, Japan on July 8 (Monday) and 9 (Tuesday). The aim of the workshop is to bring together the world-leading expert theorists and experimentalists in the various fields of quantum optics, nonlinear optics, and nanotechnologies and discuss the latest results and future directions on the emerging science and technologies using entangled photons. Although all the lectures are given by the invited speakers, papers for the poster session and the attendance of the people who are interested in the topic of the workshop are most welcome.
